Morgan Freeman makes a surprise appearance at the World Cup opening ceremony

Last night, the legendary American actor Morgan Freeman completed the opening of the World Cup in Qatar with a moving performance. During his speech with a message of unity and togetherness, he wore only one glove, and there is a tragic reason behind everything.

Freeman attracted a lot of public attention during his speech last night at the opening of the World Cup in Qatar, where he was joined on stage by the ambassador of the show, Ghanim Al Muftah. But, apart from the touching message that the actor sent to the public, some people also caught the eye of the glove that the Oscar winner wore only on his left hand.

There is a sad and tragic reason behind everything. Namely, it is a compression glove that the 85-year-old veteran actor has been wearing for years, since his left hand was paralyzed after a car accident 14 years ago. Although the actor has been wearing it for almost years, he normally skillfully hides his hand, even the glove itself, but this time he decided to keep it at the World Cup opening ceremony, which is why it particularly caught the public's eye.

Freeman suffered serious injuries after the accident in 2008 and was lucky to be alive. His car, which overturned several times, ended up in a ditch, while the actor was taken away from the accident site by helicopter. Freeman still suffers constant pain from a chronic muscle condition - fibromyalgia, stemming from a broken shoulder he sustained in an accident.

His arm suffered severe nerve damage, which even doctors were unable to repair, and a compression glove is used to maintain blood flow.

Freeman and Al Muftah delighted everyone with their speech.

‘We sent out the call because everyone is welcome.

This is an invitation for the whole world.’ ‘I remember even after hearing the call, instead of seeing another way, we dismissed it and demanded our own way,’ he said. ‘And now the world feels even more distant and divided.

How can so many countries, languages, and cultures come together if only one way is accepted?’ He added: ‘I can see it. What unites us here in this moment is so much greater than what divides us.’ Their performance received thunderous applause from the audience, and viewers from all over the world showed great respect for the film legend.
