Spofec Makes a Remarkable Tune-Up of the Rolls-Royce Phantom

Often regarded as the epitome of opulence and comfort rather than a contender in the realm of high-performance vehicles, the Rolls-Royce Phantom is indeed an engineering marvel. While it may not spring to mind when thinking about speed demons, it does possess a formidable prowess thanks to its V12 engine.

Now, tuning company Spofec has introduced a series of enhancements to the Phantom, unleashing its latent power while crafting an assertively chic persona for the vehicle.

A Perfect Union of Style and Functionality

The eye is naturally drawn to the Phantom's colossal rims.

Through a joint venture with Vossen, Spofec has equipped the Phantom Series II with a striking 24-inch set of polished and brushed SP3 rims, all created using precise CNC machining technology. The rims' tiny openings are more than just aesthetic accents; they facilitate brake cooling, demonstrating the harmonious interplay of style and function.

These robust rims, paired with 295/30 R24 tires, complement the extended Phantom's stature immaculately. Furthermore, Spofec has tweaked the car's adaptive air suspension to bring it 40mm lower to the ground than its standard model.

Intriguingly, once the vehicle surpasses a speed of 140 km/h, the suspension reverts to its original height, striking an exquisite balance between aesthetics and aerodynamics.

Awakening the Beast Under the Hood

Underneath its polished exterior, the Phantom's 6.75-liter V12 engine has undergone significant upgrades courtesy of Spofec.

Employing a plug-and-play control module, the tuning house has tinkered with injection and ignition maps and modified the turbine pressure control. The result is a remarkable boost of 114 horsepower, pushing the total to an impressive 685 hp.

This revamp shaves off valuable fractions from the 0 to 100 km/h sprint, with the new timings being 5 seconds for the standard model and 5.1 for the extended variant.

Exterior Refinements

In addition to the aforementioned tweaks, Spofec has fine-tuned the Phantom's exterior as well.

The front fascia has been subtly altered, a new spoiler added to reduce front axle lift, and the back now sports a sleek one-piece panel featuring a modest wing on the trunk lid. These enhancements lend a distinct sporty charisma to this majestic automobile without compromising its inherent elegance.

Spofec's rendition of the Rolls-Royce Phantom is a testament to the fascinating possibilities that arise when one dares to view a traditionally luxurious car through the lens of high performance. With this impressive transformation, they've truly proven that power can indeed come in the most sophisticated of packages.
