Ferrari wants to continue producing its V12 engine

In the future, Ferrari will continue to pursue its ambitions. There is still a plan to use a V12 engine in the car. Despite this, there are a number of reasons why other car manufacturers will not do the same. It is Ferrari's intention to do everything it can to keep that engine alive for as long as possible.

The future is going to be based on the same engine, given the fact that it is a very powerful engine, and the company does not want to stop there. Several companies have already stated that they are no longer interested in working on such engines, and they are already creating plans for the next few years as we have already said.

In light of the fact that BMW will be focusing more on electric vehicles than on gasoline engines, it is one of the companies which will get rid of the V12 engine. It is no accident that Bentley is another company with the same focus: Electric cars are the future.

V12 engine

As well as Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz, there are a few other manufacturers that deliver V12 power in their models, including Aston Martin with its DB11 and DBS models. Lamborghini has announced that the new model that will replace the Aventador will incorporate a plug-in hybrid drive system that combines an engine powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine with three electric motors that will provide help to the electric motors when needed.

The automaker has also announced an all-electric model for 2025, but they have not yet provided any more details on how they see their electric future unfolding. The new Ferrari Purosangue is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 725 horsepower.

This engine is more powerful than the vast majority of competitors in the SUV (crossover) segment, which generally opt for V8 or V6 engines. Based on Ferrari's point of view, this engine is the best in the industry and provides the best performance among Ferrari's model range in terms of performance and positioning.
