Bugatti has released a limited edition model, the EB110, as a tribute to its famous predecessor. Only ten copies of the ultra-sporty two-seater were produced, and all of them have already been sold to collectors and enthusiasts.
The last EB110, finished in a special white color with black accents, was purchased by a collector who opted to add blue brake calipers and cabin accents, echoing the original color scheme of the EB110 model. Under the hood, the hand-assembled Centodieci features Bugatti's renowned 8-liter, 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers, capable of producing 1,600 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque.
This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 420 km/h, electronically limited. The EB110 comes with a hefty price tag of eight million euros, but this hasn't deterred buyers from snapping up all ten copies.
This is no surprise, given the EB110's impressive performance capabilities and the fact that it pays homage to a beloved model from Bugatti's history. The EB110 was originally released in the early 90s, after a long absence from the automotive scene, and it quickly became a legend in its own right.
“This car was conceived to honor a model that we see as spiritually marking the beginning of a trilogy: the EB110 established the formula for the Veyron and the Chiron2. Although separated by decades, these cars are timeless in their appeal and united in their dedication to shifting expectations of performance and ability.
We now close this chapter of our coachbuilding era started with the Divo3 in 2018, but the legend of the EB110 and Centodieci will forever remain a part of Bugatti history”. said Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Autoomobiles.
Bugatti Chiron
With the production of the EB110 now complete, Bugatti has revealed that it is also ending production on the Chiron model, with a total of 500 examples made, and the Mistral model, with a total of 99 examples.
The company is now focusing on the production of the track-only Bolide model, with only 40 copies set to be made. All remaining productions have already been sold out, indicating the continued demand for Bugatti's high-performance vehicles.
The EB110 serves as a reminder of Bugatti's rich history and its commitment to producing some of the most impressive and sought-after cars on the market. Its limited edition status and the fact that all ten copies were quickly snapped up is a testament to the enduring appeal of this iconic brand.
