New cars are added to Gran Turismo 7's virtual garage. As the gaming world awaits the release of the highly anticipated Forza Motorsport title in the spring, Gran Turismo fans have been treated to a steady stream of new content for their favorite racing game.
The latest update, which was released in December, added five new cars to the virtual garage of Gran Turismo 7. One of the standout additions is the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, a high-performance version of the Italian sports sedan that was first unveiled in March 2020.
The GTAm boasts increased power and lighter weight thanks to the removal of the back seats, resulting in a more agile and dynamic driving experience. Players will also have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, a one-of-a-kind car that was developed exclusively for Gran Turismo 7.
The VGT features a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine that pumps out over 1,000 horsepower, making it a force to be reckoned with on the virtual track. Until March 2023, fans will have the chance to see the full-scale version of the car on display at the museum in Maranello.
New Cars
In addition to the Alfa Romeo and Ferrari models, the December update also introduced the Bugatti Chiron, Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray, and a 1995 Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST205) to the game. The Celica ST205 was a rally car that won the European Rally Championship in 1996, but it was also involved in a scandal that resulted in Toyota Team Europe receiving a one-year suspension from the FIA.
The team was found to be using an illegal restrictor that provided an unfair advantage in terms of horsepower. Despite the controversy, private teams continued to use the Celica ST205 in the years following the suspension. Overall, the latest update for Gran Turismo 7 provides players with a diverse range of new vehicles to try out and adds to the already impressive selection of cars available in the game.
As fans eagerly await the release of the next installment in the franchise, they can continue to enjoy the constant stream of updates and new content provided by developer Polyphony Digital.
