Porsche offers one of the most extensive customization programs in the industry for its entire line of vehicles, but that hasn't stopped it from starting to offer its own packaged customizations, such as the special editions that are available to customers.

In a new special edition that is hidden under the name Style Edition, the Porsche duo from the 718 Series will be available from next year to customers as part of the Porsche Special Edition range. In launching the latest in the Porsche Style Edition range of special editions this year, Porsche has chosen to offer a pair of mid-engined Boxster/Cayman models that are widely popular.

When buyers choose to opt for the Style Edition Cabrio or Coupé, they will be able to expect several features that will make the convertible two-seater stand out from the regular versions.

Models are distinguished by exclusive details

Both body options are placed on the rims that Porsche premiered on the 718 Spyder model, and among the interesting details is one of the offered body colors (Ruby Star Neo), which Porsche reminds of the color that was once offered with the 911 Carrera RS from the 964 Series.

. It is important to note that Stuttgart did not skimp on the standard equipment, so the Style Edition comes with a lot of standard features such as adaptive bi-xenon headlights (PDLS), dual-zone air conditioning, heated seats, parking sensors, and so on.

The Style Edition of the car contains a two-liter turbocharged gasoline boxer engine, which develops 300 horsepower at the rear axle and 380 Newton meters of maximum torque, which is transmitted to the rear axle through a manual six-speed gearbox, which is located behind the backrest of the seat in the model.

A 7-speed automatic PDK gearbox is also an option. Both body variants appear to be capable of going from 0 to 60mph in 4.7 seconds without the third pedal and 170mph when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono package. "Production of the Boxster S Porsche Design Edition 2 will amount to 500 units at a price in the German market of Euro 65,539 (including 19 per cent VAT and national specifications), production of the Cayman S Sport will be limited to 700 units at a price of Euro 69,942 (again including 19 per cent VAT and national specifications)." Porsche said in a press release.
