Pique and Friends Mock Shakira's New Song, Casio Becomes Their Sponsor

In the show, Gerard Pique made fun of his former partner Shakira and her new song, which collected 90 million views in two days. Pique founded a league where influencers and former footballers play football called "The Kings League".

"I have a big announcement. Casio gave us watches as a gift. We have a contract with Casio, they sponsor this league," said Pique while the others in the studio laughed loudly. "You're kidding," added one of the guests. "No, no, I'm serious.

Here, they sent everyone a watch," said the football player. “Why did Casio join?” asked one of the participants. "Because of Shakira's song," Sergio Kun Agüero, a retired Argentinian soccer player who called in via video, immediately replied, and everyone laughed even harder.

We remind you that in the song, Shakira sang about Pique and his new girlfriend Clara, so she told him through the lyrics, among other things, that he "traded Ferrari for Twingo, traded Rolex for Casio...".

Shakira's new song

Shakira's new song, in which she mentions her ex Gerard Pique and his new girlfriend Clara, is breaking all records, and in just 24 hours it has collected more than 65 million views. The singer didn't spare either her ex or his girlfriend, so she told him through the lyrics, among other things, "I wish you good luck with my supposed replacement / I don't even know what happened to you," she sings.

"You are so strange that I can't even distinguish you / I'm worth two of 22 [year old] / You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded a Rolex for a Casio.", Shakira sings in the new song.

Shakira did not stop there and sent him a series of difficult lyrics.

“I was out of your league, which is why you’re with someone just like you”, and she suggests her gym-loving ex should spend a little time training his brain, too.

“You left me with my mother-in-law as a neighbor, with the press at my door and a debt to the taxman,” she sings. We remind you that Pique and Shakira announced that they were separating in June of last year. Soon after, Pique was spotted with Clara Chia, his new girlfriend, an employee of his production company.

Although he did not talk about the relationship to the media, the two were seen together several times, and it was later revealed that their affair had been going on since 2021. Piqué recently reportedly approved for Shakira to move to Miami with the children, to avoid a legal battle over taxes being waged against her in Spain.

After their breakup last year, Shakira—who shares sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, with the former soccer player—opened up about the aftermath of their split. "It's hard to talk about it, especially because I'm still going through it," she told Elle in September.

"And because I'm in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation. And so, it's been tough not only for me, but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult."

However, she's found comfort within her craft.

"I think everyone has their own processes or their own mechanisms to process grief or stress or anxiety," she shared.

"We all go through stuff in life. But in my case, I think that writing music is like going to the shrink, only cheaper. It just helps me process my emotions and make sense of them. And it helps me to heal."
