Joelle Joanie Siwa was born May 19, 2003, in Omaha, Nebraska to Dr. Tom Siwa and Jessalyn Siwa. Her father is a Chiropractor at Northwest Chiropractic, and her mother is a professional dancer who runs a dance school. She has an elder brother named Jayden Siwa.
