Tax Issues

For more than 10 years, the Dallas Trinity Foundation, a religious watchdog organization, has kept an eye on Duplantis. President Ole Anthony of the organization said that because of Duplantis ‘ tax exemption, each person in St. Charles Parish was technically “helping to pay for Duplantis’ extravagant lifestyle.”

The ownership of Duplantis 3 million dollar villa, which also serves as the church rectory, was also the subject of investigation, as it was paid through non-taxable donations, and Duplantis avoided paying taxes of up to $ 33,000 a year on what a house of that value would be taxed for.

Retired Tax Assessor Clyde Gisclair of that parish said that while most homeowners are eligible for a tax exemption, Duplantis has put the house in the name of the ministry, though it is for his own use, and will not pay any taxes.

Therefore taxpayers will be footing the bill, Gisclair said,

“When somebody’s exempt, somebody has to pay the bill,”

He said such instances could cause the millage of the area, or property tax, to rise.

Anthony says that,

“If the IRS finds that he in fact is abusing the tax code with regard to those two issues (conversion and inurement), then they could conceivably revoke his ability to give tax receipts for donations – he could lose his tax exempt status.”

In addition to the house, Jesse Duplantis Ministries also owns a huge private jet that Duplantis used to take thousands of trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas.

Furthermore, he had been in news highlight for avoiding the fees and also for asking a donation to buy a private jet; as a result, people bashed him with harsh comments over social media.

  1. What a scam artist! Does this guy donate to any charitable causes or is this his own charity? The sad part is people buy into his scam under the guise of religion. With his wealth and income, he should be able to buy his own plane!

    1. Just wondering how much of his wealth came from you. I never heard people that gave to him complain

      1. Just give your offering to a local church or people in need around you. By any yardstick these guys have been corrupted. I don’t have a problem with pastors living well but these guys are over the top. Look how Jesus lived, he could have been a king. Stop the insanity of supporting these modern day money changers.

    2. My friend watches this guy and others, she won’t look at the house I tried to show her ,or his cars etc.
She’s sucked in by these Tv evangelical con artists,
I asked if she ever sent money ?
      She said No.
She can’t even afford her rent.
Yet this guy takes money from poor people..
      Lives a lavish life.
While ignorant people send him money.
She thinks the devil gave her cancer?
      So sad 😞
There is no God, no Jesus, no heaven or hell,
If there is a hell, creeps like him should go there!
      He’s a con artist.
Bet he’s never donated a charity.
      Or helped anyone except himself!!!

      1. You will find out on judgement day, there is a God and hell . Which came first? The chicken or the egg ? If the chicken…where did the first one come from ? It was made. God is light and light overcomes darkness, Jesus died and came back from the dead , there were 1000s of eye witness accounts. Eternity in hell is where you’ll spend if you do not repent, confess you are a sinner, and accept Jesus as your savior. We will see who is right when death comes for you. Just go on believing what you think, you shall remember what I’ve told you when you’re in hell. May God have mercy upon you.

    3. Let me say this, first of all my good friend Jesse Duplantis is above board with his finances. Second Jesse nor does the ministry ever ask for donations. Third if the media and the naysayers would mind their own business and maybe examine their lives this world be better off.

    4. He donates millions daily. He helps the needy and downtrodden. He feed people after Katrina but no one wants to report that part.

    5. First of all stupid he had and has millions, before he was a pastor, bet you didn’t know that did ya. True idiots..

  2. Are you serious ! Why is this fraud not in jail !! And he steals in the name of GOD.. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE! BUT HIS FOLLOWERS WILL BUY INTO THIS , HELLO HELLO , WAKE THE HELL UP ! HE IS A LIAR !!!!!!

  3. I remember Jesse as a good old country boy, i am saddened to hear about his lavish lifestyle. He owns a rolls, Bentley and an Aston Martin. Lives in a 35,000 sf home . Jesse , what happened to
    You sir?

    1. He was saved from poverty – wondering how much did you give? If nothing you probably have nothing to complain about

      1. You sound like you don’t care about anyone else’s well-being. We don’t care because he took our hard earned money. We care because he’s taking other’s hard earned money amd using it for personal gain, which is directly contrary to what the Bible, the book he claims to teach from, tells people to do.

  4. I don’t blame Jesse as much as I do the idiots who send him all that money. One thing all religions have in common is that they are created in the minds of man. There are many of these preachers who are worse than him. What needs to be done is to remove the tax exempt statistic on religion. His million dollar homes are tax free. His 350 thousand dollar rolls Royce is so called church property. His net worth is over 50 million dollars. Pt Barnum had it right. A sucker is born every minute. I am a deist and find all of this as insane.

    1. Yes all religions were created in the minds of man, but Christianity is not founded on religion. It is founded on an invitation to be in relationship with God through the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus! He invites you to come and learn of him.

  5. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
    2 Timothy 4:3

This man is a wolf in sheep’s clothing!

  6. And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry. But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
    Luke 12:16‭-‬21 ASV
    https://bible.com/bible/12/luk.12.16-21.ASV

Jesus died for this man and as terrible as the things he’s doing I hope for his sake he repents and does not forfeit his soul.

  7. No, Jesse, Jesus would not ride a donkey if he were on earth today. He would fly coach! And he wouldn’t live in a mansion worth 6 million dollars like you do. Or drive a $350000 car. You are a charlatan. But there’s plenty of suckers out there who’ll buy your phony “gospel.” So don’t worry. Wallow in your wealth, but remember that you’ll have to leave it all behind when you’re are six feet under, like the rest of us.

    1. It’s apparent that you have never listened to any of Jesse’s sermons, or you are conveniently ignoring the litmus test that 1Cor. 12:3 gives us.
Jesse reportedly makes around $22 Mil/year from personal appearances and another $4 Mil/year from his books which have been translated into at least 22 languages, so it’s not surprising that he’s worth >$50 Mil with private jets.
I also find your assertion about Jesus a bit presumptuous. When Jesus did ride a donkey, he sent for one never ridden before. Little is known of Jesus early life, but his great uncle, Joseph of Arimathea was one of the wealthiest men in Israel, with a fleet of ships and selling tin to Rome from his mines in Wales/Cornwall, which is what gave him direct access to Pilate to ask for Jesus’ body. http://biblefacts.org/pdf/j_arimathea.htm
Hey, look on the bright side. If you’re really six feet under, as you say, you’ll beat Jesse to heaven. 1Thess.4 says, “the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
btw-I almost forgot 1Chr16:22 & Ps.105:15, “..Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”

      1. Thank you, well said. All of those that talk against his being blessed , I’m sure if given the chance would gladly and most willingly trade in their homes and cars for his.

      2. You need to know that Jessie made the statement that Jesus came to him for advice. That dont go friend. We need Jesus ,Jesus does not need us. That’s not the only foolish made up stories he has told.

  8. I have to believe it that J. Duplantis is nothing more than a con Man! Because Billy Graham never lived like you are! Pastor Mr Graham went all over the over the place and he didn’t live in a big house like you, And he never begged for money!!

  9. If a doctor got rich off of you would you still feel angry because he lives in a beautiful home and drives a very nice car or 2 maybe 3? You pay him for taking care of your body but what is more important your body or your soul? He stays in one place but an Evangelist travels all over the world leaving his family, his peaceful relaxed life to minister to people that will go to hell and burn eternally unless they hear and receive Jesus as their Savior.
Are you telling others about Jesus? The Bible says “touch not my annointed and do my prophet no harm!” Psalms 105:15
Better be careful what you say about God’s annointed! God will take care of Jesse Duplantis so why don’t you pray instead of accusing and allow God to be God!

  10. I want to know if someone can answer this question please!
If our life of 0 to 100 years old which is very short In The overall pic of life then like a vapor we’re gone, and we accept Jesus as these tv preachers say they have done right? What do JETS, MULTIPAL MANSIONS AND ALL THE WORLDLY GOODS have to do with preaching the WORD and going to heaven? Why do they have jets and multiple mansions when they could take the worth oh these worldly goods and help the poor? Are they not contradicting themselves? Which way is it?

    1. wondering how much did you give? If nothing you probably have nothing to complain about

You sound like Judas when he complained whe the costly ointment was pour on Jesus – What a waste – It should have been given to the poor.

    2. I could not have said it better. He often states that he gives to his church but why then does he live in homes and drive cars and fly jets that are church property so he does not have to pay taxes on them I say if you make that much money then pay your own taxes or let people in his church have use of his jets and homes since they pay to build them and then pay the taxes also, they just keep on paying.

    3. To answer your question the Bible says where your heart is there also your treasure will lie. The Bible also teaches that man cannot judge the heart, only God can judge that. Only God can truly know where Jesse’s heart is. Matthew 7:1 says “judge not lest you also be judged”. Jesus also says “Do not say to your brother, ‘here let me take that speck out of you’re eye’, you hypocrite! first take the plank out of your own eye, then you might see well enough to take the speck out of your brothers eye”. I would ask you, truly no judgement, just a perspective question, do you give most, some or all of your what you have to the poor? Most do not. So why then judge this man for what he may or may not do when you, as we all are, are sinners also? You may not fall short in the area of greed as you accuse Jesse for, but you do fall short in other areas, as we all do. Romans says”For we ALL fall short of the glory of God”.

  11. This property spreads out over an area of 35000 square foot. He is also the owner of one more estate, currently in the Ormond Boulevard. He has also done housing of about 20 rooms, and it also makes the property of valuation, a price of $3 Million. Time and often he has been in news highlights for using church donation sum in housing.

WHO WROTE THIS ??? MY 6 YEAR OLD CAN WRITE BETTER THAN THIS!

  12. How much does he pay you Joe? Sounds like with all the defending your in his pocket too! Be careful what you’re defending! You better know his heart before you speak. The Bible say only a man knows in his heart, and GOD!

  13. Do you believe in the power of giving and receiving, seed time and harvest, the LAWS of giving and receiving.

You must not – or you would not be writing such horrible things about the man of God. What system for financial success can YOU offer?

  14. People want to believe John 3:16 but they ignore Luke 6:38. It says give and it shall be given unto thee press down shaken together men shall give unto you bussom. You see the fact is that Jesse gives so much sharing the word and helping the poor that God pours out His blessing on him. Gods no going back on His word just because the secular world doesn’t understand spiritual laws. He can’t help it as he gives God blesses him. Try it you’ll see.

  15. There is a whole mess of these all for profit prosperity Evangelist. They tell lies about conversations with God etc. to lure desperate poor, ill and handicapped miracle seekers. They give advice on how we should live and practice it not themselves. They are Men and women evangelist alike. Don’t forget your $1,000 seed etc. that they request to turn YOUR life around !! Give me a break. Remember the warning of “False Prophets” in the bible and you will stay free of these trashed out money grubbers !
” For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.” Cor. 11 13 – 15

  16. First of all stupid he had and has millions, before he was a pastor, bet you didn’t know that did ya. True idiots..
